Some people have asked how I cut the nails of my bunnies if they are not in a co-operative mood. I’m embarrassed to say that i sing to them. Okay…i am a bad singer but the best thing about pets is that they do not criticize! ROTFL.
if you sing something that is slow and steady, it does calm them down. I find it works better than talking as there are minimal pregnant pauses. So, if you are having problems clipping nails, try this! Vanilla’s owner highly recommends singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I tend to do the alphabet song. -_-
LOL. U r rite, vanilla isn’t critical of my lousy vocals either but then he prefers me to sing or hum softly. (And folks: don’t just sing when it’s time to clip nails… or else the bunny will associate the 2 and run away when u start singing!)
I’ve tried humming (haha don’t know what to sing), but it simply doesn’t work for Andora. She’s never in the cooperative mood too. I try to sneakily cut her nails when she’s stretched/flopped out, but she’s quite alert. I just tried that yesterday and failed.
I’ve had the vet or vet tech do it for quite some time now. About time I make another trip. 
i need to go down too. I still owe Dr Hsu my bill from that last time when their system crashed and i feel weird! I’m trying to figure out when i will go down, and the earliest date is in August for Audrey’s paperwork. Thats like..being on credit for 6 months?! Doesnt seem nice though its not a big bill. Need to call them as well to help make some sterilization appointments
Or..i wonder if i could mail a cheque in? Dunno. LOL
Karen, you are right abt the when to sing part. I never thought of that!
Haa, don’t worry about it and just clear it when you next go down? A mailed in cheque is kind of weird? And perhaps troublesome for the staff unless they accept cheques as payment regularly? Don’t know.
You have so many animals and are a regular. If he minds, I think he would have gotten his people to call. Haaa.
Haha, see how i guess. Kinda dumb to go all the way down to pay for the bill. I just realized that i like to sing Xmas songs too when i groom. Isnt tt just weird?
Xmas jingles are cute and happy. Think bunnies should like that. Ah, but I don’t think it’s stranger than my humming random tunes that just pop up on my head (not of any song i’ve heard, but just made up along the way).
Ee, it depends on how uncomfortable it’s making you? If you’re feeling really guilty about it and thinking about it too much, just drop by and get it over and done with. Hahaa.
